Apply to Become a Member

Any member of TTY’s member organizations can apply to become an individual member of TTY. Any person or legal community who supports the organization’s activities can be accepted as a support member. Member applications are handled and accepted by the organization board. The membership duration is from the beginning of the calendar year to its end.

The organization can also have honorary members who have been commended on their work for the organization or otherwise have helped advance its goals in meaningful ways. Honorary members are selected by the organization’s general assembly on the motion of the board and one cannot apply to become an honorary member.

The actual members of TTY are all of Finland’s IT technology student guilds which are student associations for university students studying to become Masters of Science in Technology with a major in Information Technology (or a related field).

What is TTY?

Tietoteekkariyhdistys (TTY) is an umbrella organization for all of Finland’s IT technology student guilds, founded in 2023 during the Titeenien Taistot event in Turku to help the guilds communicate with each other, promote the interests of IT technology students, and organize events and fun for IT technology students all over the country.

The organization bylaws can be found here but are only available in Finnish (since they are an official document).
